AGAIN, REP. BABAJIMI BENSON FEEDS CONSTITUENTS, AS OVER 500 HOUSEHOLDS BENEFIT FROM AUGUST EDITION OF iCARE FOODBANK.


Over 500 Households and vulnerable across the Ikorodu federal Constituency were as usual on Saturday benefited from the August 2025 edition of the iCARE Foodbank programme. An initiative of Rep. Babajimi Adekoge Benson MHR, is a nonprofit charitable organization that buys food and grocery products and redistributes the items in a bag called ‘APO AANU or ‘MERCY BAG’ to the less privileges.

Since 2016, the Foundation has been buying grocery food items to redistribute to individuals and vulnerable families: Elderly, Single Parent, Widow or Physically Challenged, mostly nominated by the public through CDCs, CDAs, Social groups, religious bodies and an online portal to reach those designed for.

Speaking with MegaXpression Media, one of the Lawmaker's Aides, Alhaji Oriare, said Rep. Babajimi Benson’s aggressive campaign against hunger among his constituents is to ensure he put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable.

The Vice Chairmen, Igbogbo Bayeku and Imota LCDAs, Barrister Ade Ayeni and Hon. Princess Oredoyin, E.S Local Government Education Authority LGEA, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, SSA to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Social Development, Mr Olalekan Biliamin Alejo OBA, Head of Protocol of Rep. Babajimi Benson, Alhaji Musbaudeen Alejo, iCARE Media Director, Mr Olubode Oserinde, Engr Shobo, Mr Shakiru Moritan Seidu SMS, Alhaji Saheed Jokomba, among other members of iCARE Family were in attendance.
