AROYEWUN RELEASES OFFICIAL PORTRAIT, APPOINTS WASIU OLOWU AS CoS IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA.


The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area, Omoba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has released his official Portrait to the public. The portrait pronounces his Ona Ogo magenta colour.  

In the same press release, the Chairman announced the appointment of his Chief of Staff (CoS) as Hon Wasiu Adedayo Olowu.  Hon Wasiu Olowu, Chief of Staff, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

Hon Olowu was educated in UAMC Eleja Primary School, Igbogbo, ZIGS Igbogbo for his secondary school education, and Lagos State University, Ojo, where he earned a B.A Hon. in Philosophy. During his National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, assignment, Hon Olowu worked in the Chairman’s Office, Ifelodun Local Government, Share, Kwara State.

Thereafter, Hon Olowu has been serving Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA in various capacity from 2015. He was Secretary to the Local Government Caretaker Committee, 2015 to 2016. He served as the councillor for Ward C2, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, from July 2017 to July 2021. During the tenure, he acted as the Majority Leader of the 4th Assembly. 

For different periods from April 2022 to July 2025, Hon Olowu served as Supervisor for Tourism and Special Duties; and Supervisor for Environment and Waste Management, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. To his credit, Hon Olowu has earned many leadership awards and has attended important management, leadership, and governance trainings that will be of immense value in his discharge of the CoS role.

The appointment takes effect from August 01 2025.

The Chairman, Omoba Hammed Aroyewun, advices the appointee to be forthright and diligent as he wishes him well in his role.

SENATOR OGUNLEWE DENIES ENDORSING GBOLAHAN OGUNLEYE FOR SECOND TERM.

Former Minister and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe , has denied reports claiming he endorsed Hon.
