KITH & KIN STUDENTS FLAUNT ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS, VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL AT EXHIBITION. ...As Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya Charges Parents not to deprive Children of their Talents.
It was a bustling arena at the Kith & Kin Educational Schools, Owode-Ibeshe, Ikorodu, Lagos, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, as Students of the School displayed and marketed various handmade products. The exercise which took place on the School field was to tell the world about the Vocational Technical & Entrepreneurship (VTE) exhibition exercise of the School, for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The skills on display included Fashion Designs, Auto Mechanic, Catering/ Baking, Electrical) Electronics, ICT/AI, Cosmetology/ Hair Dressing, Metal Iron/ Fabrication, Arts & Craft, Medicals, Agriculture, Event Planning, Photography, and Musical Instrumentation.
According to the School founder, Asiwaju Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya, said the silver lining of the VTE is that students were, at least, able to add to their knowledge by acquiring skills. He enjoined parents to encourage their children in entrepreneurship empowerment programmes of their interests.
Olusanya further emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship education and empowerment made available by KKES, noting that the process will no doubt liberate the Students from poverty.
In his touching remarks, the Chairman of the day, Dr. Seyi Paul Oshodi, MD/CEO Oshodi Arts Gallery, Ikorodu, encouraged parents to ensure their children add vocational skills and entrepreneurship to their studies to promote creativity and productivity in the society.
Dr. Oshodi said this initiative would reengineer Nigeria’s economic situation and reposition the country. He therefore, enjoined students to get involved in entrepreneurship empowerment programmes of their interests. He emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship education and empowerment, noting that the process can liberate country from poverty.
In the same vein, the Dean, College of Environmental Design & Technology, LASUSTECH, Professor Dare-Abel Oladipo, argued that since the wheel of development of any country can be premised on youth creativity, parents, teachers as well as government must ensure that youths are empowered with skills and knowledge that would make them self-reliant and job creators, reference to his story life.
To move the nation forward, Prof. Oladipo advocated support for entrepreneurship education and funding, while appreciating the Kith & Kin Educational Schools for the empowerment gesture and urged others to emulate same.
Also, Dr. Ajifowoke Rafiu, Principal, Technical College Epe, recalled his experience from his young age, while reiterating that going to technical college has truly shaped his life. He however, enjoined parents not to deprive children of their skills. In his words, “This is a very interesting skill, and anyone who vocational skills will make money.” Ajifowoke said
Earlier, the Principal, Kith & Kin International College, Mr Oregbesan Julius, said in his remarks that the School has prepared students for the life beyond classroom, noting that the significance of hands-on curriculum lies in its ability to make learning active, engaging and purposeful.
Thereafter, the School founder, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, was accompanied by his wife, Chief Mrs Olusanya and other Board Governors of Kith & Kin Educational Schools and Members of the high table to assess the Skills and products on display.
While inspecting the various stands, Dr. Oshodi and other invited guests, commended the KKES Students’ willingness to learn new things. They stressed the need to keep focus on these creativities.
Also in attendance were Parents, Students of Giglograce School, Erindale School, Adoles Heritage Schools, BBJ Private Schools, Jopel School, Grace Saint Schools, Fidelity Signature School, among others.
