DR. KAZEEM OGBARA HAILS IPAKODO DAY 2025, COMMENDS CELEBRATION’S CULTURAL RICHNESS. ...Donates awesomely towards a Construction of Classrooms.


'Chairman of the Day,' for the Ipakodo Day 2025 Celebration, Dr. Kazeem Ogbara, the Asoju-Oba of Ikorodu Kingdom, was on Saturday, October 4, 2025, expressed his admiration for the 2025 Ipakodo Day Celebration, describing it as a vibrant celebration of Ipakodo’s rich cultural heritage.

Dr. Ogbara conveyed his distinct honour at having joined His Royal Majesties, Sekumade of Ipakodo, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Olubeshe of Ibeshe, Alagura of Agura, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR, Senator Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru FCA, Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, Iyaloja General of Ikorodu Division, Chief Busola Isikalu, former H.O.S, Aremo Adesegun Ogunlewe, and other distinguished leaders celebrated what Dr. Ogbara termed “one of the most vibrant celebrations in the recent time.”

The Asoju-Oba, remarked on the celebration’s absolute vivid colours. He highlighted the captivating presence of various groups and individuals, noting that every moment was a beautiful reminder of the rich heritage that we’re so proud of, across Ikorodu Division.

He extended hearty congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr) Basiru Aremu Sotonwa, the Sekumade of Ipakodo, as well as to all Ipakodo sons and daughters. "Today is not only a celebration of the past four years, but also a reflection of the resilience, progress, and collective spirit of the people of Ipakodo. 

"In just a short span, this community has shown remarkable strides in growth, cultural preservation, and communal harmony. Our sons and daughters at home and abroad continue to uphold the values of hard work, respect, and unity that have long defined our heritage.

"We must also acknowledge the tireless efforts of our community leaders, youth, and women, whose contributions remain the backbone of development in Ipakodo. The progress we celebrate today is a testament to your sacrifices, your vision, and your determination.

"Let this anniversary also serve as a reminder that our work is not done yet. We must continue to invest in education, empower our youths, support enterprise, and preserve the cultural identity that makes us unique within the Ikorodu Kingdom and Lagos State at large. Unity must remain our strongest pillar, for when we stand together as one, no challenge is insurmountable," he stated.

In his concluding part, Dr. Ogbara enjoined all to commit themselves to a brighter tomorrow, one where the Ipakodo community becomes a beacon of excellence, peace, and prosperity. Thereafter, he donated a sum of five million naira (N5,000,000) towards the construction of a Block of Classrooms within the Local Government Primary School, Ipakodo.

Dr. Kazeem Ogbara, retired in 2018 meritoriously with Doctor of Philosophy in Credit Management in contemporary economy from the accredited International University of Panama. He was during his Banking service, conferred with a Fellow Member of the National Institute of Marketing in Nigeria. He is a Fellow Member of the National Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria (FNICA), Fellow Member of the Institute of Management Consultant of Nigeria (FIMC) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

He was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Honourary Causa) in Business Administration & Banking and Finance by the Cosmopolitan University, 2016 in the USA. Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance, May 2024, Texas USA, Fellow Member of the Africa Institute of Public Administration, 2024, and Member of Advisory Committee on Industrialization and Awards, as an Ambassador of Peace & Governance, 2024, by UNIPG-Africa at the Global Peace Leadership Summit & Awards, Canada 2024.
