37TH IGBOGBO DAY: ORGANISERS ROLL OUT SUPERLATIVE PROGRAMMES, SCHEDULED TO COMMENCE ON 20TH NOVEMBER. ...Unveil quality, unique Ankara fabrics for Celebration.


The 2025/26 Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, has unveiled its programmes of events for the 37th Edition of Igbogbo Day Celebrations. While addressing MegaXpression Media and other Newsmen at a World Press Conference on Thursday, October 16, the Planning Committee Chairman, Mr Sheriff Jinodu, explained the ten days superlative programmes and promising to be exciting.

Jinodu established that the Committee's objective is not only to organise Igbogbo Day, but to continuing carrying out plans that will suit recent developments in Igbogbo Kingdom, Lagos State and the world, more so, on Education Endowment, noting that this year's celebration will take the baton of continuity of progress.

According to Mr Sheriff Jinodu: "We will kick start this year's celebration with prayers (Iwure and Jumat Service) on 20th November 2025, by 7am prompt. Afterwards, Adeboruwa Jamz by 4pm will take place at the Aafin Adeboruwa Igbogbo.

"Friday, 21st November is slated for the Jumat service at Igbogbo Central Mosque, by 1pm, Barners' day in front of Aafin Adeboruwa, between 9am and 1pm, while Public Service day would take place at the Rotatory Vocational Central Igbogbo and visitation to Orphanage Home by 4pm.

"Saturday, 22nd November, is scheduled for a big Carnival at Eleja Primary School Igbogbo, between 9am and 6pm. Sunday, 23rd November is slated for the Luncheon with the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, presentation of Award of Excellence, Induction of Igbogbo Ambassadors (Season 3) and Elders Day, at Mikky Onasanya Event Center Igbogbo.

"Monday, 24th November, if for Health Awareness Day, by 9am at Aafin Adeboruwa. Also, the final stage of Adeboruwa Football Competition, at Eleja Primary School Igbogbo, by 3pm, and NGO Give-Away at Aafin Adeboruwa Igbogbo.

"Tuesday, 25th November, has been scheduled for the Cultural Day and Cultural Dance, involving Pa Dankuwo cultural group, Alapepe, Asa, Turupu, Igunnuko, Sogbeto, and many more, at the Aafin Adeboruwa, starting from 9am.

"Wednesday, 26th November is the final day of Education Programmes; the quiz competition, debate competition, at Council Secretariat Hall of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, by 10am. Meanwhile, the final of Adeboruwa Basketball competition, will hold at the Andus D'Great Schools Igbogbo, by 4pm.

"The Oloja Adeboruwa Day/ Community Development/ Artisans & Transporters' Day, and youth Gala Night were scheduled for Eleja Primary School, commencing from 12noon.

"Friday, 28th November, is slated for Career Guidance & Counseling with Couch Wale as the Guest Speaker. The programme will take place at De-Shokis Hall Igbogbo, by 10am.

"Saturday, 29th November is scheduled for the grand finale at the Zumratul Islamiyyah Grammar School Igbogbo, by 12noon. While Sunday, 30th November is slated for the Christian Thanksgiving Service, at CAC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way, Igbogbo, by 10am prompt.

Questions were later entertained from the gentlemen of the Press with accurate responses by the Secretary of the Planning Committee, Mr Toheeb Sanni, saying this year's celebration is targeted towards having an Education Endowment 

"This year's edition is also aimed at unifying the people of Igbogbo, so as to encourage all in channelling their strength towards the upliftment of Igbogbo Kingdom," Sanni added.

Thereafter, the programme which was anchored by the Committee Media Director, Hon. Adeyemi Oshodi, popularly known as 'Adosh', shifted the attention to the main hall of the Aafin Adeboruwa, were the Ankara fabric was unveiled. And the Ankara was said to be very much available at the Aafin Adeboruwa for booking.

Also in attendance at the unveiling were the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, who conducted the unveiling of the Ankara fabrics, on behalf of the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, other Chiefs and Baales, members of the Igbogbo Development Association IDEA, led by Engr. Lateef Oduntan, other members of the planning committee, among other Stakeholders.
