The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Prince Abdulateef Adedayo Ladega, was on Tuesday, empowered hundreds of women and youths across the seven Wards of the Council, and also unveiled several developmental projects achieved during his first 100 days in office at a commemorative ceremony
Highlight of the ceremony, which held at the Musical Village Ikorodu, drew a large crowd, includes the distribution of items of such tailoring machines, grinding machines, generator sets, mini tractor machines for farmers, Hair Dryers, Freezers, Cylinders, Vulcanizer machines, Barbing Machines, Granding Machines, Catering equipments, among others.
Joining the chairman at the historic event were dignitaries, including Royal fathers, political Leaders, and serving government officials, among others. They include the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Alagura of Agura, HRM Oba Ahmed Olakunle Ogunnaike, former Deputy Governor and member GAC, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former SSG and GAC member, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, former Minister of Works and Infrastructure and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Chairman Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR, ably represented the DG iCare Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, House of Assembly Member, Hon. While rendering his stewardship, Prince Ladega disclosed that the impact of his administration has been felt across key areas such as infrastructure, sports, education, health, security, agriculture, tourism, staff welfare and economic empowerment.
Key among her socio-economic impacts, he listed the construction and rehabilitation of major link roads, improvement of drainage systems, and provision of clean, reliable water via solar-powered borehole.
Others include 2-in-1 road behind the cemetery, Muhammed Ajayi Street, and Ayegbami street Sabo, road rehabilitation at CAC Street Benson, a solar powered borehole at Itundofin, road construction at Lawal Oluwanisola Street Sabo, Ajegunle Street in Ward F, among many others.
While rendering his stewardship, Prince Ladega disclosed, “The significance of 100 days in office is to render account to the people and let them know that they didn’t elect a statue but someone who can represent them well. I want to show that I’m capable, and with God on our side, Ikorodu will become a City."
