REP. BABAJIMI BENSON GIFTS TOYOTA HIGHLANDER JEEP TO GRAND CHIEF IMAM IGBOGBO/ BAYEKU LCDA. ...As Chairman Aroyewun Applauds Thoughtful Gesture.


In a gesture recognising efforts and interfaith harmony, the representative of the Ikorodu federal Constituency at the Green Chamber Abuja, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR, has gifted a brand-new Toyota Highlander Jeep to the Grand Chief Imam of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Fadhilat Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy Abolore Gazali. 

The presentation was made by the Executive Chairman Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Council Secretariat, Igbogbo, Lagos. The handover ceremony also attracted significant public attention and stirred diverse opinions across religious and social platforms.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman, Omo'ba Aroyewun, expressed appreciation to Rep. Babajimi Benson for the thoughtful gesture, describing it as a reflection of his longstanding support for faith-based institutions and grassroots leadership across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and the wider Ikorodu Federal Constituency. 

He noted that the donation aligns with Rep. Benson’s people-focused approach to representation and his recognition of the critical role religious leaders play in fostering harmony and communal development.

Aroyewun further stated that the presentation underscores the strong working relationship between legislative and local government leadership in responding to community needs. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustained engagement with religious bodies as partners in promoting unity, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive development within the LCDA.

In his response, the Grand Chief Imam, Fadhilat Sheikh Abdul-Ganiu Abolore Gazali, expressed deep gratitude to Rep. Babajimi Benson for the generous donation and to Chairman Aroyewun for facilitating and honouring the presentation. He described the vehicle as a timely intervention that would significantly enhance his mobility and effectiveness in carrying out spiritual duties, community engagement, and interfaith responsibilities.
