AMBODE COMMISSIONS LAGOS STATE GIRLS JUNIOR MODEL COLLEGE, AGUNFOYE, IGBOGBO. | Shakiru Seidu. Oba Shotobi, Oba Kasali, Hon Akinsola, Hon Agunbiade, A+ Disciples, others, witness the commissioning.

The program which kicked off with an opening prayer by the Principal of the School, Mrs. Bosede Omolayo Abiodun was followed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mrs Adebunmi Adekanye's Speech,
where she welcomed everyone present and expressed joy at the commissioning of the Girls School, stating that there is a need to create a safe place for children to achieve their dreams and she believes the School will contribute positively to these children.

According to her, the School commenced academic session in September 2017 with total of 100 Students, 9 Classrooms, a library, laboratories, Dining, among other facilities. She encouraged the Students to take advantage and make the most of these facilities. She also implored the community to embrace the School and shun vandalism.

Thereafter, Students of the School thrilled the audience to cultural display and french presentation.

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule referred to as ' the mother of education' in Lagos State who represented the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, congratulated the Students being the first set of students in the School, says she has no doubt that the Principal and teachers of the school are capable of imparting morals to the Students.

According to the Deputy Governor, Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambodes's love and passion for children and education will stop at nothing to make learning environment conducive for Students. She stated that Lagos State government is making adequate allocation for the growing population of the State. "The commissioning of the school is a demonstration that the government is investing in the future of the children through education," she added.

Dr. Idiat Adebule, who had earlier commissioned same in Ishawo Community, Ikorodu, further implored students to make a mark and set excellent goals. On a parting note, she appreciated the efforts of Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun and other leaders in Igbogbo for their roles in the project.

The Tutor General/ Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Dr. Gbemi Olaniyi who gave the vote of thanks, appreciated the effort of the government in prioritising education.

BC Eze, Principals from Ikorodu Division, traditional Chiefs CDAs, religious leaders, others, were all present.
