The Awobo Central Mosque Igbogbo, on Sunday, 7th of January, 2018, hosted the Muslim faithfuls as they thronged in for 2018 Maolid Nabbiy celebration. The significance of the festival according to Islamic history, is to celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohammed. (SAW).

In his eloquent remarks, HRM Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, preached with utmost passion to embrace love and peaceful coexistence in Igbogbo Community.

The Imam of Awobo Central Mosque, Kalifat Imam Sheriff Taiwo Abdulahi Andu thanked Kabiyesi Chief Imam Igbogbo Central Mosque, Sheikh Dhikirulahi Abdulahi Andu, and other Alihumoh for making the day a reality.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
