SUCCOR, AS BABAJIMI BENSON FEEDS, GIVES FOOD ITEMS TO OVER 500 NEEDY IN IKORODU DIVISION. | Shakiru Seidu.

To make the 2019 Easter celebration memorable for his constituents, a caring and listening legislator from Ikorodu federal Constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, has again, repeated his uncommon gesture, by giving out food items, tagged 'Apo Aanu', to over 500 less privileged members of the society in Ikorodu Division.

The laughter on the faces of the beneficiaries cannot be over emphasised as they were showering prayers on Hon. Babajimi Benson, wife and members of iCARE Foundation.

While responding to questions from MegaXpression community magazine, the erudite legislator said his focus is to make sure he put smiles to the faces of his constituents.

JB, as he's popularly called, further enjoined members of his constituents to celebrate a peaceful Easter festival, solicited for their continuous supports and prayers to enable him do more than what he is doing presently.

The DG, iCARE Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola, and Deputy DG, Mr Bayo Oteju also said to MegaXpression, that the initiative was aimed at alleviating the suffering of the poor and giving back to the society.

“The iCARE Foundation caters to the homeless, needy and working poor within Ikorodu Division. We are light in the darkness and here to make a difference." Deen explained. He said that the iCARE Foodbank started in October 2016, and has since then been feeding more than 500 people monthly.

“We have been able to make huge impact in the community in the past three years. Through God’s grace, we have been able to excel,” Oteju added.

Shortly after the pleasant remarks, the distribution of the food items began with smiles of relief on the faces of the beneficiaries.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
