The House of Reps member, representing Ikorodu federal constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson, has again extended his magnanimity to the residents of Olori Power line community Eyita, in Ikorodu, by making four of their street roads motorable.
During the thank you visit to Hon Babajimi Benson, the Baale of the community, Chief Sulaimon Fayas, applauded the uncommon gesture of the astute legislator and his quality representation towards Ikorodu Division.
"Though lawmakers don’t have business fixing roads but the executive. Therefore, Babajimi Benson must be commended for showing empathy with the good people of his constituents on the state of their roads, and for deciding to give back to the community by arranging such palliative measures to cushion the hard effect of the car users on the roads before permanent solution provided," Chief Fayas said.
Mr Bayo Oteju, one of the Aides of Hon Babajimi Benson, said to MegaXpression Community Magazine that, "Sulaimon Sodimu was penned for the road project, but due to the fact that 1kilometer was approved and the road kilometer is 1.4km. Four other streets within the same locality are used to replace the Sulaimon Sodimu Street and also due to the fact that the newly elected incoming Governor of the State has promised to construct the road.
"The four streets are Ayodele Ayeni, Giwa Efunbotu, Afeez Aleje and Olori street. The road is now motorable with a complete shift from previous state despite non asphalt concrete. Drainage was done, but not completed at Giwa Efunbotu and Olori street,"
The CDA Chairman, Mr Jamiu Shitu, Mrs Tolani Lamina, Mr Akeem Arologun, Mr Omosanya Damilare and other representatives Olori Power line community, prayed for Hon Benson and further urged him to include their residents in his subsequent youth empowerment.
