The atmosphere at Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Secretariat was on Wednesday enveloped with joyous fanfare as the Council Chairman, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, sworn-in the newly elected Councillors representing the five (5) Wards of the LCDA.

In his eloquent address, Daini enjoined the five Councillors to repose the confidence of the electorates by making laws that would impact positively on the lives of the people, noting that the task of bringing dividends of democracy to the doorsteps starts with the lawmakers and hence could not afford to fail.

He healed the past in his speech, and urged to forge a new path for a new beginning in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. "I congratulate the newly sworn-in councillors and the principal officers. As partners in progress, we should roll up our sleeves, get to work, move in same direction, and discharge our duties with utmost sincerity and make the will of the people our top priority," the Chairman insisted.

Daini, thereafter thanked God, Leaders and Party members for their sacrificial support throughout the journey of his emergence, also appreciating the past Councillors, Supervisors, Special Advisers, Staff, and the entire Management Team of Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA for making his first term as Chairman, a huge success.

In the proclamation exercise, which had the presence of MegaXpression Media, the legislative positions to steer an outstanding democratic legislative process for Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA was conducted in a constitutional and democratic manner.

Hon. Nurudeen Alimi from Ward C3 was returned as the Leader of the House alongside Hon. Basirat- Banjoko of Ward C1 as Deputy Leader. From Ward C4, Hon. Mathew Arowolo emerged as the Majority Leader, while Hon. Hakeem Sholawon of Ward C2 emerged as the Chief Whip. The position of Deputy Majority Leader was created for the first time, while Hon. Habeeb Anifowose from Ward C5 was voted to occupy the position. These were applauded by the members of the party and well-wishers of the new administration.

The House Leader, Hon. Nurudeen Alimi, in his appreciative remarks thanked and applauded Chairman Daini for his leadership quality and passion for a great Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA. As they have received the mantle to serve, he assured they'll work with the Chairman to fulfilled all the campaign promises.
