The Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, has presented the certificate of office to the new Iyaloja General of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Alhaja Ashake Wahab Sonubi. The Chairman urged the new Iyaloja General to keep up the unmatched qualities and leadership traits that have endeared her to all and sundry in the community.

“We urge you to embrace peaceful co-existence between the market Association and the local government. We are sure that your reign would continue to bring development and peace among the market’s Associations in this LCDA.

“The certificate of office that is presented to you is to affirm your authority and position as Iyaloja general, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, having been endorsed by His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, and installed by the Iyaloja General of Lagos and Nigeria, Princess Folashade Tinubu-Ojo” Daini said.

The Chairman emphasized that the move followed the legal frameworks of both the Lagos State market guidelines and the Nigerian Constitution, clarifying that earlier objections by the council were purely not personal but genuine concerns raised to defend Lagos state Market guidelines and the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, noting that the issue is now in the past.

Responding, Alhaja Ashake Sonubi appreciated members of the Market Association, and entire residents as she assured them of her commitment to the development of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA in general.

She also promised to ensure peace, tranquillity and uphold government regulations on markets in the LCDA and Lagos State at large.

The entourage later went to the Adeboruwa Palace where the Iyaloja General received blessings and endorsement from HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, before proceeded to the Micky Onas Events Center Igbogbo, for merriment.
