LG POLLS: LAGOS APC FLAGS OFF CAMPAIGN, PRESENTS FLAGS TO HAMMED AROYEWUN, OTHERS.


The APC in Lagos State on Tuesday officially presented party flags to its 57 Chairmanship and 376 Councillorship Candidates for the 12th July Local Government Elections. The party also launched its campaign for the council at the event held at the APC State Secretariat, Ogba.

The Flagbearer in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, Prince Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, after receiving the APC flag, thanked the party leaders and members of his political party in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, for the opportunity bestowed upon him to serve as the Council Chairman.

Aroyewun further assured of the unwavering commitment and not to let the people of Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA down at all times. "Better days ahead for the people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA," he opined.

Earlier, the Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, charged all candidates to work harmoniously with their teams and remain connected to the grassroots. He emphasized the importance of inclusive leadership, while assuring that the party has put structures in place to secure victory at the polls.

Babatunde Ogala SAN of the APC Election Steering Committee reminded candidates to strictly adhere to electoral laws, while Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, stressed the need for loyalty to party decisions and structures.
