DAINI PRESENTS CHIEFTANCY CERTIFICATE TO GRAND CHIEF IMAM, IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA, FADILAT SHEIKH ABDULGANIU GAZALI. ...Urges him to propagate peaceful and harmonious relationship among religious adherents in LCDA.


The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, on Tuesday presented the newly appointed Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque and the Grand Chief Imam, Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, Fadilat Sheikh Abdulganiu Abolore Gazali, with the Chieftancy Certificate. The Chief Imam was named and turbaned recently, after the death of Fadilat Sheikh Dhikirulahi Andu Tanimose.

Daini, while addressing the gathering, said his administration recognizes the important role the Muslim community plays in the peace and harmony being enjoyed in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, noting that the late Chief Imam who has being the custodian of Islamic tradition in the past, has been a partner in the development of the LCDA.

The Chairman therefore urged the new Chief Imam to work for the progress of Islam. He also charged him to double his efforts in the propagation of the religion and entrenchment of peaceful and harmonious relationships among religious adherents in the LCDA.

In his remarks, the new Chief Imam, Fadilat Sheikh Abdulganiu Gazali, thanked the Executive Chairman, Builder Olusesan Daini for his support in getting to the throne, while praising him for his unprecedented development that he had brought to Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, during his eight years in office. "We will keep praying for you, and history will never forget you," Imam Gazali stated.

He later presented the Chieftancy Certificate to His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom and the Palace Chiefs.
