GOV. SANWO-OLU TO SWEAR IN LADEGA, AROYEWUN, 55 OTHERS AS NEW LG CHAIRMEN IN LAGOS STATE ON SUNDAY. | Shakiru Seidu.


The Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, is set to officially swear-in the newly elected Council Chairmen of the 20 Local Governments and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State on Sunday, 27th July, 2025. This is contained in a statement made available to MegaXpression Media on social media.

Among those to be sworn in are Prince Adedayo Ladega of Ikorodu Local Government, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Motuntayo Gbadebo-Alogba of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe of Badagry Local Government, Mr. Rauf Ibrahim Yemaren of Badagry West LCDA, Hon. Ameen Apanishile of Ikorodu North LCDA, and 50 other Council Chairmen across Lagos State.

The ceremony is scheduled for 12noon, at Lagos House, Governor's Office, Alausa, Ikeja, following the recently concluded Local Government Elections, while the 57 Chairmen are expected to come with two guests each. 

Other expected dignitaries are members of the Governance Advisory Council GAC, traditional rulers, religious leaders and top public office holders.

The Governor of Lagos, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is to commission a newly reconstructed Aafin Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom , by the Administration of the outgoing Chairman, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini.
