A Cherubim and Seraphim Movement in Lagos State has honoured a father, leader, and revered Statesman, His Eminence, Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, with a Prestigious Award of 'Grand Pillar Order of Cherubim and Seraphim' (GPOCS), on Sunday, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

The recognition was said to be a testament to Basorun's decades of exemplary service, faith, and uncommon contributions to the advancement of the Church, Community, and Nigeria at large. The Grand Pillar Order is one of the highest honours of the Cherubim and Seraphim fold, reserved only for personalities whose lives embody leadership, integrity, and enduring impact.

After receiving the Award, 'Baba Aladura' expressed his unfeigned appreciation to the Almighty God, maintaining that it was a privilege to receive such an Award. He stated that the honour bestowed upon him would only continue to spur him to be steadfast in the work of God and humanity.

Celebrating with Basorun, the House of Assembly Member, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro, popularly called AMA, expressed joy over the Award. "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our father and leader, His Eminence Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, on this remarkable honour. May God continue to preserve Baba Aladura's life in good health and grant him more years of wisdom and service to humanity," Hon. AMA stated.

In the same vein, the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun HOA, also celebrated the living legend, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, reiterating that Baba Aladura has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Lagos State and his legacy will live forever.

Also, an APC Stalwart in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, Mr Shakiru Moritan Seidu SMS, joined others to felicitate with a distinguished political father, Baba Aladura, for his well and genuinely deserved honour. "Long may Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun reign," SMS prayed.
