ORGANISERS RELEASE SCHEDULE FOR CORONATION CEREMONY OF FADILAT SHEIKH GANIYU ABOLORE GAZALI, NEW CHIEF IMAM, IGBOGBO CENTRAL MOSQUE. ...Unveil Ankara for the Ceremony.


The Organising Committee has announced the schedules for the Coronation Ceremony of Fadilat Sheikh Abdulganiu Abolore Gazali, the new Chief Imam, Igbogbo Central Mosque, after being installed on Tueaday, June 10, 2025. He succeeded the late Chief Imam, Fadhilat Sheikh Dhikrullahi Abdullahi Tanimose Andu, who answered the inevitable call of his Creator, having spent 53 years on the throne. 

According to a released made available to MegaXpression Media by the Organisers, the coronation events will take place for twelve days, from Sunday, 2nd November to Friday, 14th November, 2025.

According to the Committee, the Coronation Ceremony will hold as follows: 

Day 1
Sunday 2nd November, 2025: Special Coronation Public Lecture. Lecturer: His Eminence, Fadhilat Sheikh Faruk Onikijipa (The Grand Mufti of Ilorin, Kwara State) Time: 10:00am. Venue: Igbogbo Central Mosque

Day 2: 
Special Coronation Jumat Service: Friday, 7th November, 2025. Lecturer: His Eminence, Fadhilat Sheikh Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowooribi (The Grand Chief Imam, Ikorodu Central Mosque & Ikorodu Division). Venue: Igbogbo Central Mosque.

Day 3: 
Saturday 8th November, 2025. The Coronation Ceremony at Igbogbo Central Mosque and Entertainment of Guests at Mikkson Hall, along Agbele Road, Igbogbo.

Day 4: 
Friday 14th November, 2025: Special Coronation Jumat Thanksgiving Service. Lecturer: Prof. Abdulkabir Paramole, Senior Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies, LASU. Time: 1:00pm. Venue: Igbogbo Central Mosque.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Coronation Planning Committee, Alhaji Chief Abdul Ganiu Olubodun (Aare Adeen, Igbogbo Central Mosque), the Secretary, Mr. Idris Adesina, PRO, Hon. Dauda Oshinlaja, other members of the Committee and the Chief Imam Igbogbo Central Mosque on Sunday, September 28, 2025, unveiled the Ankara fabric for the Ceremony at Igbogbo Central Mosque premises. 

They further used the medium to reach out to Muslim Community and all residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (home and abroad) to join them in the celebration, by making it historical.

The Ankara can be purchased at the Igbogbo Central Mosque or at the designated shop beside Late Chief Ojoye's House in Club 24, Igbogbo at the rate of N6,000 for 6 yards

Also, there will be publication of Brochures wherein well wishers can celebrate with the Grand Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque with their goodwill Messages. Details of this is available in the flyer.
