Adebimpe Akinsola — on their respective birthdays, commending their distinguished public service, leadership and contributions to community development.

In separate birthday tributes, the monarch described the trio as accomplished personalities whose records of service and commitment to the progress of Igbogbo Kingdom and Lagos State remain worthy of recognition.

Chief Basorun, the Asiwaju of Igbogbo Kingdom, celebrated his 88th birthday on October 15, while Prince Ogunlewe, the Aremo of Igbogbo Kingdom and former Head of Service of Lagos State, marks his birthday on October 16. Hon. Akinsola, the Oluomo of Igbogbo Kingdom, celebrated her birthday on October 6.

In his tribute to Chief Basorun, the monarch described the elder statesman, popularly known as Baba Aladura, as a symbol of wisdom, integrity and selfless service whose enduring legacy continues to inspire generations.

Oba Kasali acknowledged Basorun’s distinguished contributions to governance, particularly his service as former Secretary to the Lagos State Government and former Commissioner for Education, as well as his membership of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and chairmanship of the APC Apex Body in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

The monarch noted that Basorun’s wealth of experience, commitment to public service and contributions to the development of Igbogbo Kingdom have earned him a special place in the hearts of the people.
He prayed for continued good health, renewed strength, peace of mind and many more years of impactful service for the revered community leader.

Celebrating Prince Ogunlewe, Oba Kasali expressed deep appreciation for his leadership, dedication and invaluable contributions to the success of the monarch’s 10th Coronation Anniversary, which he chaired.

The Adeboruwa also acknowledged Ogunlewe’s distinguished tenure as Head of Service of Lagos State, describing him as a respected son of Igbogbo whose experience and commitment to service continue to bring honour to the kingdom.

In her birthday tribute, the monarch celebrated Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, the Oluomo of Igbogbo Kingdom, a member of the Seventh Lagos State House of Assembly and former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State.

Oba Kasali commended her contributions to public service and her commitment to the growth and development of Igbogbo Kingdom, noting that her experience in governance and community engagement remains valuable to the kingdom.

The monarch’s tributes reflect his appreciation for the contributions of these distinguished personalities to the development of Igbogbo Kingdom and their respective roles in public service and community leadership.

Interestingly, Oba Kasali himself will celebrate his birthday on October 20, marking another milestone in his reign as the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom.
