LAWMAKER FLAGS-OFF REHABILITATION OF PAUL PALMER ROAD IN IGBOGBO, SAYS IT WILL BE COMPLETED IN 12 WEEKS. I'll give close monitor to the execution, Hon Babajimi Benson assures.

Motorists and other road users of Paul Palmer road Igbogbo can finally have a sigh of relief as the lawmaker, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson, on Friday, flagged off the reconstruction of the road after years of neglect, leaving the road almost impassable for commuters.

The Contractor, who was represented by Engr Yusuf Ganiu Oluwatosin, told MegaXpression that the road would be completed in 12 weeks and covers the distance of 320m. He therefore seek for the cooperation and understanding of the road users and residents.

Chairman of Ifeoluwa CDA at the event lauded the erudite legislator for attracting the project to the zone. He said, “I must sincerely commend Hon Jimi Benson for his efforts in ensuring the Paul Palmer road is motorable. You are aware that contract for the reconstruction of this road had been awarded severally. But no work was done on the road.

“Residents of Ifeoluwa CDA, including commercial drivers have suffered a lot due to the dilapidated state of the road. I think the reconstruction of the road attracted by Benson will help to alleviate the sufferings of the people plying the road.

“This constituency project attracted by JB has no doubt complimented the efforts of the state government in ensuring total infrastructural development of the State. The distinguished Honourable has sincerely made us proud.”

On his part, Hon Babajimi Benson thanked the people of the zone, assuring them of quality representation and attracting more people-oriented projects for his constituents. 

JB, who was ably represented by his coordinator in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Alhaji W.A. Yusuf, applauded Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Chief Adenrele Olowu, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola and Comrade Olusesan Daini, for their contributions in making the project a reality.

He further thanked the Federal Government and the leadership of House of Representatives for their support and prompt approval, while pledging his resolve to monitor the execution of the project.

Also at the Site handing over ceremony to the Contractor are Engr Bayo Oribamise and Mrs Toyin Aderibigbe from Ministry of Works. While Mr Martins Ojo represented Federal Controller.
