A member of the House of Representatives from Ikorodu Federal Con­stituency of Lagos State, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has emerged winner of the Accolades Award 2021, as the FACE OF IKORODU, after defeated IKODASS Chairman, Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Bisola Olusanya and Mrs Gloria Doyle with 60 percent votes.

Also, Publisher of MegaXpression Media and founder of the first Community Media in Igbogbo Kingdom, Mr Shakiru Seidu, equally overwhelmed his co- contenders, Mr Kunle Adelabu of Impact Newspaper, Mr Deji Lambo of The Punch Newspaper and Mr Damilola Odiolowu of BBC Africa, to win the MEDIA PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR 2021.

Other Winners of the prestigious Community Awards are:
-Ms Abisola Ruth Olusanya -Youth Mobilizer of the Year.
-Aderoju Ladega -Ikorodu Diaspora Ambassador.
-Barr. Lukman Akinsanya (Pepc Foundation) -Humanitarian Accolade
-Ikorodu Bois- Young and Influential and
-Col Opeyemi Augustine -Security Professional of the Year.

In his comments, Hon. Babajimi Benson, dedicat­ed the Award to the people of Ikorodu federal Constituency, saying that if they hadn’t sent him to the House as their Representative, the recognition arising from his contributions wouldn’t have been possible.

“I want to dedicate these Award to the people of Ikorodu federal Constituency, for making me your Representative, that has now afforded me the opportunity of receiving this. If you didn’t find me wor­thy of your trust and votes in 2015 and 2019, I don’t think I would have been selected for this recognition based on my excellent activities,” Hon. Benson opined.

In the same vein, Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Media, equally returned Glory to Almighty God, saying it won't have possible without God. "I thank the leadership of Accolades Award, particularly Mr Gbenga Owoyele ( Charisma), for this won­derful recognition. Despite of many Laurels in our kit, I never thought of this, but the votes came my way based on what people seen in us.
