AYANGBUREN INSTALLS MOSHOOD ADESEGUN BELLO-OLUSANYA, WIFE, AS BASORUN, YEYE BASORUN OF IKORODU KINGDOM. | Shakiru Seidu. ...It's a divine call to duty, Basorun Bello-Olusanya reveals.

Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, has installed a socialite, businessman and philanthropist per excellent, Mr Moshood Adesegun Bello-Olusanya and wife, as Basorun and Yeye Basorun of Ikorodu Kingdom.

The installation took place on Saturday, November 27, 2021, in front of some reputable Personalities at the Palace of the traditional ruler.

In his Royal message, the Kabiyesi urged Basorun Bello-Olusanya and wife, to work more for the promotion of Ikorodu, Yoruba culture and tradition.

Responding to MegaXpression Media, Basorun Moshood Bello -Olusanya, described his installation as a divine call to duty. He promised to continue to work for the prosperity of Ikorodu Kingdom, and called for cooperation that would enhance trade and commerce among the people of the race.

Basorun Moshood Bello- Olusanya, is a Son of Prince Ogborin, Dagburewe of Idowa, the Patriarch of all family lineage in Itunmoja, Ikorodu, Lagos. His father, was the late Bello-Olusanya and his grandfather, was Osoda. His Mother, Alhaja Olaore Olusanya, Nee, Saka Dekiye, was from Adeyoruwa family, Agunfoye Idirogbo, in Igbogbo.

His Elementary school education started at Salvation Army School, Ikorodu (1956 -1961). It brought great joy to his father who saw him as his very own representative amongst the white men especially when their brass band marched around the town during the Salvation Army Church annual Thanksgiving Service. 

He proceeded to Mushin High School, Sagamu for his Secondary School education (1963 – 1967). However, his Dad died before he finished his secondary education. With a hardworking and industrious mother he completed his secondary education and moved on to Yaba College of Technology, Lagos where he bagged his OND (1969-1972) and HND (1973-1975) in Civil Engineering.

His work experience has been quite fulfilling. Basorun of Ikorodu worked briefly at Federal Ministry of defence (1968-1969) before his tertiary education at Yaba College of Technology. After he studied civil engineering, he worked as site Supervisor, on the Benin – Asaba road during his industrial training program (1972-1973). After this, he worked with Guffanti (Nig) Ltd. (1975 – 1978) as site Engineer and moved on to Dave Engineering Ltd (1978-1979).

From there he worked with Lagos State Ministry of Works (1979-1983) from where he established a great working relationship with the likes of the Late Funsho Wiliams, Omoluabi Eko and many others.

He voluntarily resigned from there to start his own Engineering company – MOSADEBE Ltd with which he executed many engineering projects for state and local governments.
He is currently the MD/CEO of Harmony Abattoir services Ltd at the Lagos State Abattoir complex. 

Also, his wife, Yeye Basorun of Ikorodu Kingdom, Mrs. Folukemi Bello-Olusanya is equally a daughter of the soil, from Lanioka Compound, Ita Ege, Kudeti Ibadan. Her family Church, where she married her husband is St. David’s Cathedral Kudeti, Ibadan. She is happily married to a true born of Ikorodu, who hails from Itunmoja, Ikorodu. She is the second child, first daughter of a wonderful family of four children.

Her parents are Chief James Oyelakin Olopade who hails from the family lineage of Oba Adebimpe and Chief(Mrs) Taiwo Olopade whose father, Chief David Akitoye Akofiranmi was the Balogun Onigbagbo of Ota, Ogun State.
Born of noble, God fearing parents who are also honored Chiefs: Asipa Babalaje of Ibadan as well as Bobagunwa and Yeye Bobagunwa of Oke Ako, Ijebu Ode.

Yeye Basorun of Ikorodu attended Ilupeju Nursery and Primary School for her nursery education, Command Children’s School Ikeja, for her primary school education. From there, she went on to Command Secondary School, Ibadan for her secondary school education.

Her first University degree was obtained at the prestigious University of Ibadan where she bagged a B.A English (Hon) degree. There she was inspired by great literary minds like the legendary Prof. Niyi Osundare and many others.

Her Masters degree was an MBA (Marketing Specialization). Her career/worklife was successful as well as sterling. Well known to be hardworking and diligent, ever ready to help people and present solution to problems.

At Stillwater Aviation Company, she started as Customer Services Officer and rose to become Head of Public relations department. From there, she moved to Pharez Consulting Limited. There she diversified into Bank rating and Bank training and consulting. From here, she was offered a place at Prudent Bank Plc. Where she worked in various capacities i.e. Corporate Affairs, Corporate banking, Tresury/High networth banking, Personal banking/ relationship manager.

In November 2003, she voluntarily resigned and started her entrepreneurial journey with TYJ Ventures, an event company that worked with a lot of corporate and social client.

Yeye Basorun Folukemi is currently the MD/CEO of FAB Event Essentials, a budding, upwardly mobile Event Company that offers Events planning and management services, as well as rentals services, of bespoke events essentials and items.
