HON. HAKEEM SHOLAWON EMPOWERS CONSTITUENTS TO CELEBRATE 50TH BIRTHDAY. ...Seeks re-election as Councillor of Ward C2, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

The Councillor representing Ward C2 of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Hakeem Sholawon has empowered no fewer than 30 aged men and women with generous donations. This gesture was said to be part of Hon. Sholawon’s line up programs to mark his 50th Birthday celebration and a testament to his commitment to giving back to the community.

The event which took place at his Constituency Office at Aina-Olowu street in Igbogbo, Lagos State, and was graced by distinguished personalities from across the Ward, including the Chief of Staff, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Adewale Bolowotan, former Ward C2 Councillors, Hon. Shakiru Lawal, Hon. Opeyemi Olusanya, Hon. Iyabo Salisu and Hon. Wasiu Olowu.

Others were the Ward C2 APC Chairman, Alhaji Daisi, Leader of Imota LCDA Legislative Arm, Hon. Oredoyin, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA 2025 Chairmanship Aspirant, Mr Shakiru Seidu, APC Chieftain, Mrs Akasoro, Members of APC Ward C2 and LGA Excos, Members of Hakeem Sholawon Campaign Team, APC Stalwarts, among others.

In his welcome address, Hon. Hakeem Sholawon appreciated and thank God Almighty for the gift of life and willingness to give to his people. He admonished the beneficiaries of his empowerment to use the little to assist themselves.

“Birthdays are more than just a celebration of another year of life; they are an opportunity to reflect on achievements and set new goals for personal growth. For both men and women, this special day can serve as a powerful reminder of unique potential and strength. 

"Embracing empowerment on a birthday means taking stock of my journey, acknowledging the hurdles I’ve overcome, and celebrating the progress made. It’s a moment to recognize inner strength and to commit to harnessing it in the coming year by putting smiles on people’s faces, Sholawon stated.”

Speaking on his re-election, Sholawon pleaded with the people of Ward C2 to erase the alleged course on Ward C2 to be serving once. He said other Councillors from other Wards have been serving two terms and Ward C2 must not different.

He narrated how the Chairman of Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Daini has been supportive to him in achieving success on grading of roads, health centers, education support, empowerment, among others.

In his remarks, the Chief of Staff, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Adewale Bolowotan, appreciated God for sparing the life of Hon. Hakeem Sholawon and for allowing him to reach another milestone.

He commended and spoke on Sholawon’s generosity to the aged ones monthly. Bolowotan said Sholawon has been putting smiles on aged people’s faces on monthly bases. 

He therefore urged all beneficiaries to continue to pray for Sholawon, asking God Almighty to continue to be with him, guide him, uplift him, and protect his family from all evil, granting him a long life because someone who comes up with a gesture like this deserves all the best wishes.

Bolowotan further enjoin the people of Ward C2 to support Sholawon in getting reelected as Councillor of Ward C2 in 2025. In the same vein, all the former Councillors equally pleaded and promise to support Hon. Hakeem Sholawon in securing the second term APC ticket.
