The National Councillors Forum of Nigeria, has congratulated the Senator Ahmed Lawan and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on their emergence as the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively.

In a statement to MegaXpression Community Magazine on Wednesday in Abuja, the P.R.O, Hon Hafsat Ado, said the forum rejoiced with the newly elected leaders and urged them to be loyal and faithful to the Party, by ensuring Party's supremacy in their decisions to deepen democracy.

The statement which was jointly signed by National President, Hon. Alimi Nurudeen from Lagos State, Hon Hafsat Ado from Yobe State, said "We at the national councillors forum of Nigeria look forward to both great national legislative leaders for effective growth and development at all local governments across the nation.

"We seek for well deserved welfare package for the councillors as grassroot and most endangered third tier legislators who are charged with basic/key responsibility of party sustainability through effective mobilization", the statement said.

The forum also urged the newly elected leaders to always appreciate the enormous sacrifice of the Party in their emergence.

Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
