Stepping up his plan to clinch victory at the Lagos East Senatorial Bye-Election in October 31, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, has continued with the “coast-to-coast” consultations with party stakeholders, opinion leaders and TACT members.
The consultation according to the senatorial candidate, will enable him to seek advice from major stakeholders, in and outside the APC, which could be pivotal to winning the bye-election and also cementing a long-term relationship with his constituents.
Abiru was accompanied on the trip by some serving and past government officials, Legislators, top party leaders and hundreds of supporters.
The train’s first port of call was to meet the Royal Heads in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, His Royal Majesties, Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom and Oba Richard Ogunsanya, Olubeshe of Ibeshe land, at the Palace of Adeboruwa in Igbogbo, where the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Bldr Olusesan Mayokun Daini, led the proceedings.

"With our proportion, it is expected that our votes should be enough for our candidate, Mr Abiru Tokunbo. We want to proof a point in this bye-election against the numbers of votes coming out from the North," Kaoli said.
The APC flagbearer, Mr Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, eloquently thanked the Royal Heads for their uncommon style of leadership, assuring them of quality representation when he gets to the Senate.
"I have worked as an economist and accountant. My research made it known to me that all the previous Senators from the Lagos East did a good job without no dirty deeds, so, I am making a promise that you won't regret electing me in the position of a Senator", Abiru assured.
He further stated that he has met Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Mr Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Work and Housing, on the state of roads in Ikorodu Division, assuring that government is intensifying efforts to fast track the completion of the ongoing road projects.
Abiru, therefore called on the good people of the LCDA to remain supportive, promising to raise the bar of representation beyond the expectations of all and sundry. Enjoining all to make available their PVCs, come out enmas on the 31st of October and vote for him and APC.
The team later subsequently moved with a mammoth crowd of supporters, chanting ‘Abiru Bambam’ to meet the stakeholders across Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, at the Onas Event Centre Igbogbo.
