HON. HAKEEM SOLAWON HANDS OVER FACILITATED BOREHOLES, PUBLIC TOILETS, OTHERS, TO CONSTITUENTS OF WARD C2, IGBOGBO. ...As community Leaders applaud gestures, pleaded for his return as Councillor.

The Councillor representing Ward C2 of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Lagos State, Hon. Hakeem Solawon, has presented Four Boreholes and Public Toilets to communities in Ward C2, as part of his campaign promises.

The projects were located at Oreyo (public toilets), Oliwo Amoju (Borehole), Church Street at back of model college (Borehole), Agunfoye (Borehole) and Selewu (Borehole) Communities.

Solawon, who noted that the Boreholes were facilitated through his efforts, said the initiative was targeted at achieving the sustainability development goals of clean water and sanitation.

“When clean water is made available to the people, you are also tactically addressing the issue of poverty and hunger. This is the vision behind my water projects. I will not relent on my oars until I facilitate more of these pipe-borne water to my Constituents.

“I've equally facilitated Public Toilets to Oreyo axis, and this will no doubt serve our people very well, because of its closeness to motor garage. And for proper functioning, that is why I presented a brand new generator to assist in pumping water.

"I therefore urge the CDAs to take ownership of these projects and maintain them for effective use of our people," Solawon appealed.

Reacting to the gesture, the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, appreciated Solawon for facilitating such a Borehole to Agunfoye community, adding that his legacies towards a quality representation would not be forgotten.

Also, former Ward C2 Councillors, Hon. Shakiru Lawal, Hon. Opeyemi Olusanya, Hon. Iyabo Salisu, Ward C2 APC Chairman, Alhaji Omotayo Daisi, Mr Kunle Odumade, Alhaji Suraju Kajola, Mrs Comfort Badmus and Shakiru Seidu, were all commended the performance of Hon. Hakeem Solawon. 

They urged him to keep focus in delivering more of dividend of democracy to the residents of Ward C2, Igbogbo.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
