2024 EYIBI/ELUKU FESTIVAL BEGINS WITH 'IWURE', AS ODOFIN ONASANYA, OLUMALE KESHINRO PRAY FOR PEACE, TRANQUILITY IN IGBOGBO. | Shakiru Seidu.
The 2024 Eyibi /Eluku Festival in Igbogbo, has began with 'Iwure' (special prayer) at the Eluku Shrine in Agunfoye, Igbogbo, where the Eluku Deity will move to Igbogbo.
At the shrine, the Olootu General of Lantan Onanusi Family Igbogbo, Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, Odofin of Igbogbo and Chief Olajide Keshinro, the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo, prayed fervently for Kabiyesi, HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, the three branches of Lantan Onanusi, (Saogun, Torobiowu and Amoju) and the entire Sons and Daughters of Igbogbo Kingdom.
The Olumale Eluku, Chief Keshinro, prayed for the growth and development of Igbogbo Kingdom, appealing to the deity to protect the town and prosper all in the community.
In his remarks, the Odofin of Igbogbo, Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, prayed fervently for the town, enjoining all members of Lantan family to work together as a team towards protecting the image of Eluku deity in Igbogbo.
The ceremony was attended by large number of family members from Saogun, Torobiowu and Amoju branches of Lantan Onanusi Family.
