IGBOGBO SETS TO BEGIN 2024 EYIBI/ELUKU FESTIVAL ON SUNDAY, AS ADEBORUWA ENJOINS YOUTH TO EMBRACE PEACE, SHUN VIOLENCE. | Shakiru Seidu.
All arrangements have been put in place for this year's Eyibi/ Eluku festival in Igbogbo Kingdom. The festival was said to kick–off on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Lantan Quarters, Agunfoye, where the Eluku will come to Igbogbo township. The festival will last for Seven days from Tuesday.
Speaking with His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, through one of his Chiefs, Odofin Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, who also doubled as the Olootu General of Lantan Onanusi Family, said the necessary steps have been put in place to ensure peaceful celebration this year.
The Monarch therefore urged the youth of Igbogbo, to be law abiding and embrace peaceful celebration, adding that Igbogbo must prove to the word how accommodating and friendly they are.
