COUNCIL CHIEF, OLUSESAN DAINI PRESENTS GCE FORMS TO STUDENTS OF IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA. | Shakiru Seidu. ...Says education remains the bedrock of any nation.
The Council Boss of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comr. Olusesan Daini, was on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, doled out 80 forms of General Certificate Examination (GCE) to indigent students in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, saying “education remains the bedrock of any nation.”
The official distribution of the CD plates through which the students would access the forms and would subsequently collect the registration PIN took place at the Council Secretariat. According to the hardworking Chairman, “the distribution of the forms is in commemoration of my one year in office, so I feel this is a way to let the youth grow. So we will continue to do more to impact on our youth."
The Chairman also hinted that “our vision is to make our youth to be more productive so that they will move the Community to the next level in collaboration with our leaders.”
He said this year's beneficiaries were selected through the Igbogbo Students' Union, party leaders, traditional and religious leaders, adding that “if I give you food items, money, I might not as happy as what is happening today.”
Daini thanked the HOA, Mrs Folashade Usman, NULGE Chairman, Mr Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa and the entire Council Staff for their support in the last one year. He further extended his unalloyed appreciation to his Cabinet members, Councillors, CDAs, party, traditional and religious leaders and the entire residents of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, for their prayers and support to his administration. He therefore assured of many more good things in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
While speaking with MegaXpression Magazine, the President of Igbogbo Students Union, Comr. Comfort Olafare expressed satisfaction over the Chairman’s initiative, saying he had demonstrated worthiness as a true son of Igbogbo.
Olafare stated that the kind gesture of giving out forms to the youth in the community free of charge was an appropriate step that was worthy of emulation.
Some of the beneficireis who spoke during interviews with MegaXpression Magazine stated that Chairman Daini had greatly impacted on their educational pursuits. While commending the Chairman, another beneficiary said he needed GCE to augment his O’ level for his career.
Also speaking, Master Damilare Daniel5 who had just finished his secondary school said that he was able to get the form through his father, adding that he wrote the last Unified Tertiary Examination but he needed a paper. He thanked the Chairman for the support, saying that it would help him to fulfil his dream of gaining admission into higher institution.
