MEGA PARTY COALITION AGAINST APC: SEGUN OLULADE SAYS NIGERIANS ARE NO LONGER GULLIBLE. | Shakiru Seidu.
The Lawmaker representing Epe Constituency II, Hon Segun Olulade has described the purported coalition among over 30 political parties to dislodge the ruling party the All Progressives Congress as a form of deplorable thinking premised on assumptions that Nigerians are still very gullible and ready to take anything that politicians are ready to serve on the table.
Olulade said that the circumstance that warranted mass exodus to APC in 2015 was a necessity for the nation as people were tired of enormous level of corruption and bad governance going on in the land then, and therefore resorted to embrace change offered by the political actors that birth APC. Hon Olulade said it is funny and absurd for politicians to assume they can continue to make Nigerians puns in the game, even when they are serving their own interests.
According to report gathered by MegaXpression Magazine, the Lawmaker said the coalition is an amalgamation of failure, frustrations and selfish thinking by those who are not finding easy with anti-corruption crusade of the Muhammadu Buhari led administration. He stated further that the ruts lay down by the PDP government for 16 years are just being gradually cleared by the present administration.
“It is unthinkable that some selfish politicians are trying to take Nigerians back to a past they are already forgetting gradually. No right thinking person will want to return back to that age of decadence. The PDP which is still fragmented by factions and divisions cannot claim to have anything to offer Nigerians. Instead of rebuilding the party for its lost credibility, the selfish politicians are so much in a hurry and desperate to grab power again, thinking that Nigerians are still very gullible and will take anything available”, Olulade said.
In conclusion, the lawmaker enjoined Nigerians to be patient with the present administration’s economic and moral reforms, stressing that there is light at the end of the tunnel for Nigerians as a sustainable growth and development beckons. He urged them to resist any attempt by greedy and selfish politicians to drag them into yet another era of political garbage.
