SENATE 2019: GANIYU ABIRU WOOS APC LEADERS IN IKORODU, ASSURES OF QUALITY REPRESENTATION | Shakiru Seidu. Extends courtesy visit to Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola.

As the APC primaries approaches, all aspirants have been intensifying efforts to woo the interest of the Party leaders and followers. In Ikorodu Division, the former Clerk of Lagos State House of Assembly, who is also doubled as the Chairman of Ikorodu Development Association, IKODASS, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, GOA, is not leaving any stone unturned, as he was busy alongside the members of GOA for Senate 2019 movement, by paying courtesy visits to party leaders in Ikorodu Division.

Monday, May 9, 2018, was another day when Otunba Ganiyu Abiru and his Team visited one of the members of seventh Assembly and former Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, to seek and solicit for her support.

The Team's Director of GOA movement, Alhaji Okunuga introduced the members of his team and not forgetting their symbol, Otunba Ganiyu Abiru to the sitting. He urged all to embrace the spirit of oneness and togetherness towards the course for this emancipation of Ikorodu Division. "It's the time of Ikorodu Division to produce next Senate of East Senatorial," he said.

While addressing Hon Akinsola, Abiru unveiled his plans and readiness to take up the mantle leadership of the Lagos East Senatorial District in 2019 to a promise land. He applauded Hon Akinsola and the leadership of her house for the warmly support given to him. He quickly reflected on memory lane regarding the cordiality between him and her, right from Lagos State House of Assembly. He therefore identified with the progressive minded of Hon Akinsola in Ikorodu Division and appealed for her support towards the actualization of his dream.

In her eloquent response, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola saluted GOA's courage and determination towards moving forward the train of Ikorodu Division. She condemned politics of bitterness and hatred and urged Abiru never to play do or die politics. Akinsola further enjoined and appealed to GOA for Senate 2019 movement, to be friendly and imbibe spirit of oneness during the course of their aspiration.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
