APC INAUGURATES 1,100 FOOT SOLDIERS FOR SANWO-OLU IN IKORODU DIVISION. | Shakiru Seidu. "We must deliver a higher number of votes for APC in Ikorodu Division than we did in 2015," Otunba Saheed Ibikunle charges residents.
The Independent Campaign Group for Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Party’s governorship candidate for APC in 2019 elections, on Tuesday inaugurated 1,100 Foot Soldiers in Ikorodu Division, in order for APC to win with landslide margin in the forthcoming general elections.
MegaXpression learnt that Sanwo-Olu Foot Soldiers was established under the Office of the Director General of Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu to mobilize the electorates in all polling booths in Lagos State with a view to exercise their voting rights in the election days. They were expected to generate personal data of each registered PVC holder for the usage of BOS ICG on election days.
The event witnessed inauguration of ward and polling units coordinators of the group in Ikorodu LG, Igbogbo/Bayeku, Imota, Ijede, Ikorodu North and Ikorodu West LCDAs. The coordinators took Oath of Allegiance administered on them by Barr. Lekan Ijelu, a member and legal practitioner.

said that the group would embark on house-to-house campaign through available INEC registration data from BOS ICG. He explained that they shall serve as feed back mechanism to the incoming governor on issues affecting electorates and the public in general. "The foot Soldiers shall serve as post election pulse filler of their various communities," he said.
"No stone will be left unturned in mobilising voters for Sanwo-Olu’s victory at the March 2, 2019 governorship election. We have chosen 3 soldiers each from the 330 polling units in Ikorodu Division, making total number of 1,100 soldiers for Sanwo-Olu.
“However, we should all unite ourselves to ensure victory for APC. We are working for the governor, if we fail to ensure his victory, we won’t get any dividends of democracy no matter how little.
"We must deliver a higher number of votes for APC in Ikorodu Division than we did in 2015. We must do more and we are going to engage more street mobilisers to double our votes,” Ibikunle added.
He commended the women for trooping out in large numbers for the support of Sanwo-Olu as the next governor of the state. Ibikunle also applauded the spirit of All aspirants in the recent APC primaries.
The Field Marsha and the State Coordinator of BOS Foot Soldiers, Otunba Akin Ibesanmi saluted the uncommon coordination of Ikorodu Division and enjoined other local governments to emulate them. He therefore urged the people to canvass for more votes for the APC candidates in all elections, saying only APC could guarantee dividends of democracy. Ibesanmi further asked all to get ready their PVC and vote for APC Candidates.
Hon Wasiu Adeshina, the Chairman Ikorodu LG, said that if Sanwo-Olu emerged winner at the poll, the state would definitely move to the next level of prosperity and development. He promised to execute a project at any polling boot that came first in the coming elections regardless of its LCDA.
“My message to all is that we should all work together and mobilise massively for Sanwo-Olu in Ikorodu Division,” he added.
