AREA N COMMANDER HOLDS TALK WITH IGBOGBO MONARCH, OTHERS, ON FORMIDABLE SECURITY ALERTNESS. | Shakiru Seidu. Council Chairman, Comrade Daini, Chiefs and Baales, Local Security Operators, CDAs, others, assure smooth collaboration with the new Area Commander.

Determined to actualise his plans to provide adequate security for lives and properties of the people of Igbogbo and the residents of Ikorodu Division at large, the newly Area Commander at Area N, Ijede, AC Ayodele Sonubi, has paid visits to HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Chiefs and Baales, CDAs, Neighborhood watch, VGN, Onyabo, Agbekoya, and other local security operatives, on Wednesday. AC Sonubi who was accompanied by the DPO, Igbogbo Police Station thanked the Monarch for the warmth reception and shared view on how to cub the security challenges facing the domain.

The Kabiesi, Oba Kasali, while receiving the new Area Commander in his Palace, appreciated Sonubi for his doggedness and commitment in fighting crimes and social vices which brought him this far. He however assured him of his total support in all ramifications.

Oba Kasali also lamented on the activities of Cultists and land grabbers, and urged the Commander to flush them out of Igbogbo and Ikorodu Division as a whole. He further enjoined the CDAs to assist the Police in servicing their Patrol Vehicles for prompt response to security challenges.

According to the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comrade Olusesan Daini, and other stakeholders in attendance, they showered encomium on the Police Boss, as they deliberated on many germane, fundamental and topical issues as affect Igbogbo and Ikorodu Division as a whole. They also assured of giving adequate support to the new Area Commander, AC Ayodele Sonubi and the DPO, Igbogbo Police Station generally as all hands must be on deck to sanitize the Division.

Sonubi therefore in his eloquent response, promised to be proactive and not to relent on his effort to kick against crimes, particularly cultism and land speculation or grabbing. He also reiterated his zero tolerance for corruption and improper behaviour in the society.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
