IGBOGBO COMMUNITY HOLDS SPECIAL PRAYER FOR NIGERIA ON 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS. | Shakiru Seidu. "We must ensure peaceful coexistence", Igbogbo Monarch insists.

Igbogbo Development Association, IDEA, in conjunction with Igbogbo Social and Economic Council, ISEC, on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, held its annual Igbogbo Prayer Day, focusing on special prayer for peaceful 2019 general election in Nigeria. The event was described to MegaXpression Community Magazine to seek Allah`s intevention for meaningful socio-economic, political development of Nigeria.

The Muslim community was the first to lead in the prayer for Igbogbo community, Lagos State and Nigeria at large. Alhaji Sefiu Imoloba and Imam Lookman Andu did the Utuba and Sermon respectively, while Alhaji Imam Dhikirulahi Andu, the Chief Imam of Igbogbo Kingdom crowned the Muslim prayer session.

The Christian community did not hesitate to cover Igbogbo community and Nigeria with the blood of Jesus, as they prayed tirelessly for HRM Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali and the community of Igbogbo.

The prayer did not come to an end until those practicing traditional religion took the stage to pray for the residents of Igbogbo community, Lagos State and Nigeria. The prayer was later crown in Osugbo lineage.

In his speech, the Igbogbo Monarch, HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, stated that the call for prayers for a successful 2019 general election was paramount at this time, praying Allah for socio economic development in all spheres of life in Igbogbo community, Lagos State and Nigeria in general.

The monarch further expressed appreciation to the various religious groups, Palace Chiefs, Honorary Chiefs, Baales, sons and daughters of Igbogbo who have been up and doing to ensure Igbogbo community progresses.

The former S.A. and Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comrade Olusesan Daini, in their eloquent speeches, also prayed for peaceful coexistence and successful outing in the coming general elections. They enjoined all to conduct themselves properly and assured of more development for Igbogbo, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
