END SARS: DAINI JOINS PROTEST IN IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA, SAYS GOVERNMENT IS NOT LEAVING ANY STONE UNTURNED. Police most stop unlawful harassment to create peaceful coexistence," youth Rep., Ewulogbo insists.

The Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA of Lagos State, Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini, on Saturday joined the youths of the LCDA in the 'End SARS' protest.

Daini marched along with the crowd that convened at the Igbogbo Sports Stadium and drove round the LCDA, with different inscriptions on the placards.

In his eloquent address, Daini commended and thanked the organisers for the peaceful conduct of the protest, by expressing their feelings and concerns to the government of the day, MegaXpression reports.

"It is a constitutional right to protest and the protest must be peaceful. Fortunately for us, the government of the day is a listening governments and has demonstrated democratic value to the highest order, and also a government that have shown to the people that they have the right to express their opinion in a peaceful manner.

"The SARS have been banned by the federal government and issue of the SWAT have equally been suspended. The Governor of Lagos State have set up a seven man judicial panel to be headed by Justice Okuebi and the panel is to investigate and agree to do anybody who have been involved in any harassment and brutality by SARS", Daini explained.

"The government has likewise set up millions of naira as compensation for those that are involved in police brutality. The government of the State have also made available five telephone numbers where we can call and submit our petition and complain of police victimization.

"Let's continue to 
make the protest a peaceful interest and we should not allow people with ingenuine interest to hijack this protest and commit atrocities but let's identify ourselves  and go peaceful", Daini added.

While addressing the crowd, a hip hop star and one of the protest organisers, Dolapo Ewulogbo, popularly known as D-Dragon, insisted that they don't want SARS or SWAT in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, noting that the police are involved in the increase of transportation fee from Ikorodu garage to Igbogbo. 

"If there must be a peaceful coexistence between the police and the citizens, the police must listen and dance to our tune," he declared.

A new Chief Imam for the Igbogbo Central Mosque has been installed. He is Fadeelat Imam Abdulganiu Gazali , who was turbaned on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, as Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque and Grand Chief Imam Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA.
