Presentation of Award to HRM Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, by Muslim Community in Lagos State.

In an effort to encourage Muslim who were very devoted to the course of Almighty Allah (SWT) and Muslim Community, the Muslim Community of Lagos State, has recognised His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Emugoriade 1, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, for his contributions to the growth and propagation of Islam in Lagos State.

The Monarch, who was discribed as a muslim philanthropist, whom Allah has been using for the good work of the community, were given Islamic Award for his immense contributions in Lagos State.

According to the Organizers, "the Award was given to Oba AbdulSemiu Kasali, for his uncommon gesture towards the growth of Islam in Lagos State. Also, other Awardees were equally recognised due to their commitment and contribution in ensuring the religion of Islam flourish, while we urge Others to intensify more in the propagation of Islam in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

Speaking with MegaXpression Media, Oba Kasali thanked the organizers for the gesture, urging Muslims across Nigeria to promote peace wherever they find themselves, by ensuring that the value of Islam is nurtured.

He charged muslims to leave exemplary life of prophet Muhammad (SAW). Saying muslims are meant to be pacesetter to society, urging all to participate in shouldering the responsibilities of Islamic propagation and the transmission of Allah’s righteous religion.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
