The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, has announced Tuesday, 21st September, 2021, as 'Oro Meri' traditional festival, urging the female residents to remain indoors during the period. This is aimed at appeasing the traditional deities of Igbogbo Kingdom to attract good things to the town and spare Igbogbo Kingdom away from nagativity.

In a press release made available by the Palace's Secretary, Mr Kehinde Adekoya to MegaXpression Media, the Monarch enjoined all commuters, particularly the female ones, to ply alternative routes during this period.

The King equally expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Sons, Daughters and residents of Igbogbo Kingdom, on the recently concluded Oro Abosan traditional festival. "We appreciate you all for the seamless celebration," Oba Kasali said.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
