As part of its resolve to reposition the Old Students body, the Oriwu College Old Students Association of Nigeria, OCOSAN, 91/92 Class-Set Ikorodu, on Saturday, September 25, held its quarterly general meeting at Lagos Civil Service Club Ikorodu, Lagos.
The meeting which was well attended by members was used as an avenue for members to network among themselves, as well as continuous discussion on how to double efforts on the growth and development of Oriwu College and 91/92 Class-Set members.
After thorough deliberation and resolutions on different pending issues, the large number in attendance were unanimously agreed and reached a concensus that Shakiru Seidu is the next Chairman, immediately after the tenure of Goke Ohunomojusi ends, stating that Seidu should be allowed to lead this time around, after serving as Vice Chairman to Lateef Bello and contested for Chairman in the last Elections.
Speaking with MegaXpression Media immediately after the meeting, Shakiru Seidu thanked his friends of over 30 years for the privilege bestowed upon him to serve after the tenure of the current leadership, emphasizing that there is need for all members to come together, build a strong network and focus on how to move Oriwu College forward.
“It is an established fact that our Class-Set had played a great role in the development of Oriwu College. We met from time to time to increase our bond, network and help one another. However, for me, it is something I want to build on and replicate the tradition of great Schools in building a strong and formidable Old Students body for our Class-Set,” Seidu said.
