The death of Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya has thrown the people of Ikorodu Division into mourning, when the news about the demised of the former SSG, Lagos State, was broken on Tuesday, January 25, at the age of 74.
The Senator, representing Lagos East, Sen. Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru FCA, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR, Lagos Majority Leader, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, Hon. Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja of Ikorodu Constituency II, Chairman Ikorodu LG, Mr Wasiu Adesina, former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Agbaakin of Ikorodu, Otunba Ayodele Elesho, and Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba have all mourned Princess Adenrele's passing.
Sen. Abiru, who's the first Public Office holder to pay condolence visit to her Ikorodu residence, said in a statement made available to MegaXpression Media, that the influence of Princess Adenrele and her contributions to Lagos State's development remained indelible.
Abiru said he joined the Government of Lagos State and people of Ikorodu Division, friends and associates of Princess Adenrele, in mourning the loss, believing her legacies will be approximated for posterity.
Rep. Babajimi Benson, in a condolence message on his wall, said Princess Adenrele had contributed immensely to the growth and development of Lagos State. "It is with heavy heart that I commiserate with friends, families and political associates on the death of Princess Adenrele Ogunsanya, popularly known as Aunty 'Denrele.
"Aunty Denrele was a political titan and elder stateswoman who devoted her life time to the youths and the downtrodden, while also committing her resources to the progress and development of the All Progressives Congress (APC) particularly in Ikorodu Division," Benson stated.
Similarly, the Lagos Majority Leader, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, also visited the Ikorodu residence of the Princess, commiserated with the people of Ikorodu Division and family of the deceased, saying her contributions towards the development of Lagos State will not be forgotten.
In a statement made available to MegaXpression Media, Agunbiade said: "We are sad at the demise of Princess Aderenle Ogunsanya who passed on Tuesday, January 25. Her exit is a big loss to Ikorodu, her family, friends and associates.
We pray that God admits her to the graceland of heaven where she will rest in please."
Also, Hon. Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja, equally expressed displeasure over the death of the former Lagos SSG, noting that Princess Adenrele had dedicated her life to the service of his fatherland.
“She was a great woman, a quintessential democrat and outstanding stateswoman who has left very hold prints both on the politics and political history of Lagos State," Saka-Sholaja added.
In her condolences, former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, described the death of Princess Adenrele as a great loss to Lagos State.
Akinsola said to MegaXpression Media: “I received with a deep sense of loss the passing on of elder stateswoman and Lagos State’s former SSG, Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya.

Rotimi Erogbogbo, amongst others, were all expressed shock and displeasure over the death Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya.
