Late Alhaji Musbau Adesegun Omotayo Olufowora, APC Chieftain, Ikorodu Division.

The former Deputy Governor, Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former Commissioner for Agriculture, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Member, House of Representatives, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, House of Assembly Member, Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, Chairmen Ikorodu LG, Igbogbo Bayeku, Ikorodu West, Ikorodu North, Ijede and Imota LCDAs, amongst other Political Leaders in APC, Ikorodu Division, have expressed deep shock at the sudden and unexpected death of their dearest and esteemed leader, Alhaji Omotayo Olufowora, popularly called 'Educay'.

Speaking with MegaXpression Media, the Apex APC Chairman in Ikorodu Division, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, said Alhaji Olufowora is an irreplaceable political lodestar that will be sorely missed by the teeming members and supporters of the APC in Ikorodu Division.

He therefore prayed to God to grant the tireless spirit of Omotayo Olufowora a sweet repose while urging the immediate family, friends, political associates and followers of the erudite politician to bear the loss with fortitude.

Also, the Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru FCA, said to MegaXpression Media through his Aide, that Alhaji Omotayo Olufowora was a quality, vibrant progressive with a rich political pedigree that has ensured he remained firmly at the grassroots.

Abiru said Olufowora was a pragmatic leader, whose potentials were great assets to APC in Ikorodu Division. "He was a great dynamic leader that carried himself with respect and unassuming dignity and this ensured that he remained faithful to the ideals of progressivism for his entire political career," the Senator said.

Mainwhile, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Member House of Representatives, said the death of Alhaji Olufowora, is irreparable and a big loss to Ikorodu Division. "The news of the death of Alhaji Olufowora came to me as a rude shock, this has further confirmed to me that life is truly ephemeral. Just last week, we were together to give out his son's hand in marriage to his heartthrob.

"Baba Olufowora was an upright, straightforward and dependable leader, whose wise counsel and active involvement in politics will be sorely missed by friends, family and associates. As one of the foremost leaders in Ikorodu political structure, he gave his all to ensure the unity and progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Division," Benson stated.

Hon. SOB Agunbiade, Majority Leader Lagos State House of Assembly, equally expressed shock and displeasure over the death, saying Alhaji Olufowora has left a big vacuum in the APC, which would be difficult to fill.

Agunbiade commiserated with his immediate family and his loved ones who were not prepared for this sudden departure. He prayed to God to grant him eternal rest, and that his family, friends, associates will be consoled by this sudden, irreparable loss.

Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Builder Olusesan Daini, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, Builder Adeola Banjo and Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba also described Alhaji Olufowora as a leader of many parts.

They said the passage came as a huge shock, stating that they shall all miss him greatly, especially his insightful contributions in Ikorodu Division and Lagos State as a whole.
