Otunba Steve Adewale Anifowoshe and his wife, Mrs Victoria Olufunmilola Anifowoshe, during their installation as Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of Ikorodu Kingdom, by HRM Oba (Engr) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom.

A qualified and registered Pharmacist, an Ikorodu Indigene, who had worked in the Hospital settings for so many years, both home and abroad, before establishes his own Pharmaceutical Business in 1994, Otunba Steve Adewale Anifowoshe, was installed on Friday, January 6, alongside his wife, Mrs Victoria Olufunmilola Anifowoshe, as ASIWAJU AND YEYE ASIWAJU OF IKORODU KINGDOM, by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom.

Asiwaju Steve Adewale Anifowoshe, who was born into the family of Late Prince Zacchaeus Akogun Anifowoshe Onabanjo of the Adegorushen, Lasunwon Royal Family, Ikorodu and Late Mrs Taiwo Anifowoshe (Nee Anibaba) of Ijomu Ikorodu, is the 3rd ASIWAJU of Ikorodu Kingdom, after Late Asiwaju B.O. Benson SAN.

Asiwaju Anifowoshe started his Primary School Education at Tinubu Methodist Primary School, Tinubu, Lagos (1958-1965). After his primary School, he attended prestigious Methodist Boys High School, Lagos, from there, he proceeded to the famous federal School of Science (FSS) Onikan, Lagos (1971- 1973) for his GCE Advanced Level Certificate.

In 1974, he travelled to the United State of America to pursue the golden fleece at Ohio Northern University, Ada Ohio College of Pharmacy (1974-1977) and he later transferred to Xavier University Louisiana College of Pharmacy New Orleans Louisiana from 1977-1980 where he finished his Pharmactical Education.

He served two term on Board of Pharmacy (DUR) of Maryland Board of Pharmacy. He is also a member of America Pharmaceutical Association and Nigeria Pharmaceutical Association. He is an inductee of America Nation who is who I'm the nation business and professional. He is also an inductee of Cambridge who is who in America business and professional.

Asiwaju Anifowoshe is a member of Oriwu Club Ikorodu, Ikoyi Club, Yoruba Tennis Club, Island Club and Lagos Lawn Tennis Club. He is the Patron of Ikorodu Oga Washington DC USA and the Parton of Eko Club International Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia. 

Steve Adewale Anifowoshe has been involved in various community programmes in his home town, Ikorodu, the development of health facility, youth empowerment, and assistance for security infrastructure and logistics.

Speaking during the installation, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM Oba (Engr) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, described the newly installed Asiwaju of Ikoroduland as a worthy ambassador of the kingdom, who has contributed to the development of town.

Ayangburen noted that this is the right time for the honour to come. "Otunba Anifowoshe has paid his dues towards the development of Ikorodu community and we are calling on other sons and daughters to emulate his virtues,” Oba Shotobi said.

While urging indigenes of Ikorodu to cooperate with the new Asiwaju to develop the town, the Monarch commended other Honorary Chiefs for their restless efforts in moving the community forward.

Speaking after his installation, Asiwaju Anifowoshe pledged to continue to add value to the Kingdom, saying he had been serving the interest of Ikorodu since his youthful age.

 “I must say that I am happy for the honour bestowed on me and my wife today as the Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwsju of Ikorodu Kingdom. I deeply appreciate the intelligence of our Kabiyesi, a man full of wisdom and I must say that this serves as a call to service at a higher capacity. I will continue to serve my people and work hard for the good of Ikorodu,” Asiwaju Anifowoshe said.
