ABIRU HOLDS INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH MEDIA ON LAGOS EAST SENATORIAL BYE-ELECTION. ...Reiterates proactive, high quality representation if elected on December 5.

The APC Candidate in the Lagos East Senatorial Bye-Election, Mr Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, on Thursday, held an interactive session with the Community media Practitioners, Lagos East Chief Press Secretaries, Social media influencers, amongst others, at his constituency Office in Ikorodu, noting that the interactive is aimed to reiterate his commitment towards quality and effective representation when voted for, in the coming Lagos East bye-election, rescheduled to hold on December 5, 2020.

Abiru said to MegaXpression News and other newsmen present, that as a Senator, he will take it upon himself to introduce necessary legislative interventions that will promote equality and inclusiveness, as well as entrench the rights of women, youths and vulnerable groups in the society; adding that the interactive event is in furtherance to that agenda. 

Abiru expressed concern about political apathy among the youths, measured in terms of low voters’ turnout. He averred that the interactive is relevant, to establish is plan on the increased recognition of the central role played by young people in the movements for democracy worldwide, urging them to come out enmas on December 5 and vote for him.


Abiru further stated to advance and support key youth policy initiatives targeted at young people such as boosting entrepreneurship, increasing investment in infrastructure, in public schools, and supporting reform of higher education in Nigeria.

“I am acutely aware that young people often find themselves on the fringes of unemployment and other challenges. It is my ambition to ensure that youths are empowered and connected as citizens to the development process and have a say in the decisions that affect them," Abiru said. 


"I will always support everything that will continue to improve the human index both in terms of employment, infrastructure and development, because our larger focus should be on how to win and create the rightful peace and employment for everybody," he added.
