It was a moment of joy recently at the Ayangburen Palace Ikorodu, when one of the participants at the just concluded Big Brother Naija season five, lockdown edition, Tolani Shobajo, paid a courtesy visit to HRM Oba kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu kingdom.

Tolani, an Ikorodu indigene, said her family house is in Ijomu and Anibaba. "I am a citizen of American, I lived in American for eight years before back to Nigeria for my secondary school learning. I went to Caleb international college and my high school was in magodo. It was just fun because I just can't trade that period for anything.

"I participated in the Big Brother Naija season five lockdown edition and I was the tenth person to leave the house. I grew up in American and there is a system that doesn't work here but I grew up to adapt and I  accepted Nigeria for what it is. I went back to American for my university, where I  studied health care administration and came back to Nigeria because I love the lifestyle and it's a place I would love to be," Tolani explained.

"My visit to Ikorodu Palace to express my feelings in making impact in Ikorodu and also seek for the royal blessing from Kabiyesi so as to achieve my set goals. Despite that I grew up in Ikorodu but I don't stay in Ikorodu anymore, I still want to make a change in Ikorodu because I feel like God has bless me to make a change, so I would love to help the less privilege and the needy," Tolani added.

"I would like to build vocational building or training academic for the youths after school activities, where they learn barbing, hairdressing and fashion. I am likewise interested in feeding people, because am always happy whenever I see people eating.

"I want to put Ikorodu on the map, so that we can come to Ikorodu without the road transport but through the ferry. It will fun and can likewise shoot videos on ferry and promote it on the social media. Now that I have a relationship with the palace, I can come here and Kabiyesi will give words of encouragement to other Africans in American to come back to Nigeria because it's our home," Tolani explained.

She therefore enjoined the youths to chase their dreams and whatever they want to accomplish in life is very possible. "Once you believe in it and act towards it, then don't let negative energy bring you down as long as you stay focus, you will be successful," Tolani advised.

She thereafter thanked and appreciated HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Chiefs and Baales for the kind host giving to her in the palace.

In his royal response, HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, expressed joy and satisfaction in Tolani, saying he's very glad for her visit to the palace. "Don't have a conflict mind but encourage the younger ones who have zeal to help the less privileges," Ikorodu monarch urged Tolani.
