Ahead of the Lagos East senatorial bye‐election, which is barely 7 days away, the campaign team of the APC standard bearer,  Mr Tokunbo Abiru, are leaving no stones unturned to ensure huge success for the party. 

The Chairman met with the 5 wards stakeholders, in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA to further boost the chances of the APC candidate at the December 5 poll.

All five APC’s ward chairmen, councillors, as well as community developers, all vowed to support and work for the huge victory of Mr Tokunbo Abiru, with a promise to deliver their various wards for APC through massive campaign and mobilization of electorates.

While addressing the grassroots leaders in separate meetings, Chairman Daini said the party hierarchy knows votes from the grassroots are the best in numbers. Hence, there is need to consult with ward Chaimen who are grassroot mobilisers, councillors who are grassroot managers, CDAs who are community leaders, artisans, religious organizations, youth, NURTW, market men/women and others, so he appealed to them to work for the success of the party and deliver.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
