"My message for individuals who has and can afford to support the less privileged children is always very good for them to do so. Some of the children are homeless while some were discovered from the streets, which they don't have any hope but when they receive donations like this from people, their hope is raised and feel beloved that some people in the society showed love to them", Ajayi said.

"We are able to control the younger ones which are the undergraduate because we tell them it is only when you have your certificate that you can only join us and they do not have any choice than to face their study, so that they can join us to start doing the good deeds we are doing," Ajayi added.

Also, Mr Akinyemi, a prominent member of Tortuga Frigate, equally reiterated that they started since 2013 in Ikorodu and has become a yearly routine,  whereby they all come together as a family and give to the needy and the less privileged people in the society.

He added, "It has been our philosophy and that this year is different, considering all that have been happening through out the whole world which we are just recovery from the pandemic".

The programme had in attendance the presence of religious leaders, community leaders and members of Tortuga Frigate from Ikorodu, Lagos State and nationwide.

The Lagos State Chairman of Tortuga Frigate, Mr Akeredolu Oluwaseun, said in his remarks that as a chairman, this is his first time of attending the annual thanksgiving and visitation to orphanage home. "Basically, I will advice all the youth to embark and make sure they are of good behavior," he said.
