5 ONGOING RURAL ROAD PROJECTS BY REP. BABAJIMI BENSON REACH 80% COMPLETION IN IKORODU, LAGOS. ...While Contractor of 580 Metres roads of Alashe, Igbayitayo and Ademoye Streets is not leaving any stone unturned.

The roads constructions of Ayangbadejo Street, Ajoke Oduyebo Street, Kaz Avenue, Nike Olubodun Street and Ajebori Ogbon Street in Onishigida area of Sabo, Ikorodu, Lagos, have reached over 80 percent completion. This was ascertained by MegaXpression Media during our visit to the roads on Tuesday.

While speaking with the facilitator on phone, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Member House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Defence, said to MegaXpression Media that the Contractor had made significant progress on the roads, assuring that the roads will have infrastructural integrity to withstand the strength of time.

Benson, further stated that he is satisfied with the work done so far and hoped it would be completed before it's due date, saying that the construction work must be done with quality assurance taking precedence.

On the socio-economic importance of the road, Rep. Benson said the roads were not just of economic importance to the people of Ikorodu but serves other purposes. “This road is not just of serious economic importance but it is also a link to a trunk A road of Itokin/ Ijebu-Ode," the lawmaker said.

Benson equally commended and appreciated the cooperation and understanding of residents and CDAs that are directly affected by the roads expansion. He urged the residents to sustain their collaboration with the Contractor in order to finish the job on time.

Speaking with a resident at Ajoke Oduyebo street, Mr Jamiu Adefolalu, expressed delight over the uncommon representation of Hon. Babajimi Benson, applauding him for listening to the crys of the people. "We appreciate God Almighty and say a very big thank you to Babajimi Benson for these gestures," Adefolalu said.

Also, the contractor of 580 metre roads of Igbayitayo, Alashe and Ademoye Streets Ikorodu are not leaving any stone unturned. They have completed the drainage system, while work is ongoing on the roads to meet its due date.
