36TH IGBOGBO DAY: PLANNING COMMITTEE ROLLS OUT SUPERLATIVE PROGRAMMES. ...Says it's geared towards building a befitting Civic Center for Igbogbo.

Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, has on Saturday, unveiled its programmes for the 36th Edition of Igbogbo Day Celebrations. Addressing MegaXpression Media and other Newsmen at the foundation laying of Igbogbo Civic Center, the Planning Committee Chairman, Mr Nosiru Titilope Andu-Balogun, explained ten days superlative programmes and promising to be exciting.
The Committee Chairman reiterated that the Committee's objective is not only to organise the Igbogbo Day, but to continuing carrying out plans that will suit recent developments in Lagos State and the world.

According to Andu-Balogun: "We've kick started this year's celebration with prayers (Iwure and Jumat Service) on 21st November 2024, adding that Luncheon with His Royal Majesty (Oba) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali (Adeboruwa of Igbogbo kingdom) scheduled for Sunday, 24th November."

"This year's Igbogbo day celebrations is symbolic because one of the aims and objectives of our living and late forefathers is being achieved today, the Foundation Laying Ceremony of Igbogbo Modern Civic Centre, on a 3 acre land.

"This year occasion will be Chaired by H.E Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, (The Deputy Governor of Lagos State) and the Chairperson of the day is H.E Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire OFR ( SSA to the President on SDGs)," the Planning Committee Chairman explained.

Meanwhile, the Planning Committee Secretary, Mr Idris Adesina, highlighted different superlative programs featured for the celebration, noting that the grand finale will come up on 30th November 2024, at Zumratul Islamiyyah Grammar School Igbogbo, by 10am, while a renowned Fuji musician, Alhaji Sule Alao Malaika, will entertain guests and well wishers.
