ORENUGA, OTHER APC LGA EXCO, IGBOGBO/ BAYEKU LCDA PAY APPRECIATION VISIT TO ASIWAJU OLORUNFUNMI BASORUN FOR LAND DONATION, 40-BED PHC.

In a display of gratitude and solidarity, the APC LGA Exco, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, was on Monday visited the former SSG and Member, Governance Advisory Council, GAC, Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, to appreciate his worthy gesture of donating his Company's land, ROMO Nig. Limited, and facilitating a 40-Bed Public Health Center PHC to Igbogbo community.

The visit had the presence of Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, Chairman, Mr Akeem Awosanya, Vice Chairman, Alhaji Kudus Oduntan, Secretary, Mr Hakeem Shodeide, PRO, Mr Shakiru Seidu, Ex-Officio, Mrs Comfort Badmus, Mr Samson D-Way, Alhaji Jamiu Benson, Alhaji Daisi Omotayo, Mrs Comfort Dawodu, Mr Rotimi Oke, among other LGA Executives.

The visit was said to formally express appreciation for Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun’s recent donation of his Company's land in Igbogbo for the establishment of a 40-Bed Public Health Center, PHC, a project aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to enhance healthcare accessibility.

The donated land, located behind Eleja School in Igbogbo, marks a significant contribution to the community’s development, as the upcoming PHC is expected to provide essential healthcare services to residents who previously had limited access to medical facilities nearby.

The APC Chairman, Orenuga emphasized that the new PHC will play a vital role in addressing healthcare needs, reduce travel time for emergency care, and improve general health outcomes for residents within the LCDA.

He praised Asiwaju Basorun’s consistent support and commitment to the progress of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, recognizing that the land donation represents a legacy of service and generosity that will benefit current and future generations.

In his eloquent response, the 'Baba Aladura', Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, expressed joy at seeing the project come to fruition on his donated land.

This project, spearheaded by Olorunfunmi Basorun, in collaboration with Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, reflects a growing focus on healthcare infrastructure within Ikorodu Division.

Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
