AROYEWUN'S ADMINISTRATION REINFORCES COMMITMENT TO ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH MONTHLY SANITATION EXERCISE
In line with its commitment to promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) successfully carried out its monthly environmental sanitation exercise across the council area.
The exercise was led by the Vice Chairman, Barrister Ade Ayeni and the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Dauda Oshinlaja, who coordinated and supervised sanitation activities across various communities to ensure compliance and active participation by residents.
The exercise also featured the active participation of the Council's Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Alhaji Kudus Oduntan, Supervisors, Councillors, and other council officials, who mobilized residents within their respective wards while monitoring sanitation activities to promote environmental cleanliness and civic responsibility.
Speaking during the exercise, Barrister Ayeni reiterated that environmental sanitation remains a key priority of the administration of the Executive Chairman, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun. The initiative underscores the administration's unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, flood prevention, improved public health, and the overall well-being of residents across the LCDA.
Residents were urged to make cleanliness a daily habit rather than a monthly exercise, stressing that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of every individual and community.
The successful conduct of the monthly sanitation exercise further reflects Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA's determination to build a cleaner, safer, healthier, and more environmentally friendly council area for the benefit of both present and future generations.
