More than 120 Supervisors, Special Advisers, youth leaders, party stakeholders, and community representatives from across Ikorodu Division converged at the Ikorodu Town Hall for the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Executive Committee of Leadership and Strategy Support Forum, Ikorodu Division (LSSF-IKD).
The event marked the formal transition of leadership within the organization as a 24-member executive team was inaugurated to steer the affairs of the forum over the next four years. The ceremony featured the administration of the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance, with the new executives pledging commitment to the objectives of the forum and the development of Ikorodu Division.
Speaking at the occasion, the Immediate Past Chairman, Arakunrin Kazeem Sowemimo, reflected on the achievements of the outgoing administration and urged the new leadership to build on existing successes through dedication, discipline, and service.
Guest speaker and Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon. Japhet Odesanya, charged members to intensify grassroots mobilization and public enlightenment on the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda. He also commended the contributions of Hon. Babajimi Benson to the development of the constituency.
Delivering the keynote address, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Garage and Parks, Lagos State, encouraged members to embrace strategic planning, unity, and effective mobilization, noting that political success is achieved through deliberate organization and sustained grassroots engagement.
In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Mr. Abdullateef Omotayo Odusanya, unveiled a strategic agenda centered on organizational discipline, grassroots political education, and stakeholder engagement. He emphasized the need for a united and structured platform capable of advancing the collective interests of Ikorodu Division ahead of future electoral contests.
Representatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), youth organizations, market associations, local government officials, and other stakeholders also attended the ceremony, reiterating the importance of cohesion and coordinated action in strengthening political structures across the division.
